# Climate action

Gateway Global supports the global goal of limiting warming to 1.5°C. We are committed to net zero across Scopes 1, 2 and 3 by 2045 at the latest, in line with the NHS target for its suppliers.

## Our footprint

We own no premises, vehicles or servers, so our direct emissions (Scope 1) and emissions from energy we buy (Scope 2) are zero. Our indicative footprint is about 32 tonnes CO2e a year, mostly from services we buy, laptops, travel and home working.

One Prime Assist call is modelled at about 2.7 g CO2e in our central case, less than 2% of the emissions of driving one kilometre.

These figures are modelled estimates, and we will replace them with measured data in 2027.

## Our targets

- Start measuring energy and emissions per call in production in Q4 2026.
- Publish a Carbon Reduction Plan to the UK government standard (PPN 006) by 31 March 2027.
- Measure our baseline and submit a science-based target through the SBTi SME route by September 2027.
- Cut emissions per call by 50% by 2030.
- Reach net zero by 2045 at the latest.

## How we will get there

- Smaller models for routine tasks.
- Hosting in UK data centres with low overheads and published net zero targets.
- Keeping the data we store to a minimum.
- Working remote-first, with rail over air.

## Working with others

- We review our cloud and telecoms providers every year.
- Every healthcare customer will receive an annual statement of the emissions from their calls, for their own reporting.

## Governance

Our Founder and CEO owns this commitment. The board reviews it every year.
